I spent a couple days looking over all of our community’s websites, emphasis on WEB because it is quite the spider’s web. It wouldn’t be bad if it looked like the one on the left with a nice design to it. You can kind of follow it along and get from place to place easily. But, unfortunately, it looks like the one on the right. You don’t know where it begins and where it ends. Good luck getting anywhere in there! I think we should start over, or at least clean up the mess! But in the meantime, here’s the breakdown.

  • riverhallonline.com – River Hall Country Club – I think this one is mostly meant for residents of the Country Club. But because it has a combined calendar of events for the golf course and the Amenity Center, Hampton Lakes residents have to have access to it too.
  • riverhallcc.com – I think this one is mostly for outsiders wanting to book tee times at the country club and for marketing of the country club
  • herestoparadise.com – marketing for both communities. There are lots of other websites for marketing including those from Pulte and Lennar and Greenpointe.
  • hamptonlakesriverhall.com – Hampton Lakes HOA site, however it includes the Amenity Center info and financials. But I think this is the old site for financials because nothing new has been posted out here for a long time. I think the following website, ciranet, is where the new financials are being posted.
  • ciranet.com – this is where residents pay their HOA fees and it looks like its now the place to go to to look at more recent financials for your respective community and the Amenity Center.

riverhallonline.com

This is the Country Club website. I live in Hampton Lakes and I am not a golfer, so why do I need an account here? The only thing I can think of is there is a calendar of events out here for things happening at the Amenity Center. But this calendar also includes events happening at the golf course, Caloosa Grill and Bunker Bar which are of no interest to me. Also, while looking through this site I found that I have an outstanding bill from the Bunker Bar from August 2025 for $19 and some cents that has been incurring an interest fee of 29 cents a month for the following months. I live in Hamton Lakes and have never been to the Bunker Bar because I am not allowed to go to the Bunker Bar because I’m not a Country Club member. We called and were told it was a mistake, and it will be taken care of. Hmmmm! How did that happen to begin with? I guess we’ll never know!

So, what would I do differently about this website? I’d make this a website just for River Hall Country Club residents. I’d keep the calendar of events, but I would only include events happening at the golf course, Caloosa Grill or the Bunker Bar. Emails about those events should just go to Golf Club members. Leave me out! All the Amenity Center events should go on a Events Calendar on a new Amenity Center website. That’s right! I’m adding a new WEBsite to the WEB! But this should simply things by organizing everything better.

hamptonlakesriverhall.com

The next website to work on is the Hampton Lakes at River Hall website. You’d think this would just be a website about Hampton Lakes, but it also has a documents folder for the Town Hall Amenity Center. Why is that under Hampton Lakes? If you live in the Country Club and want to see financials on the Amenity Center, do you also need a Hampton Lakes account? Wouldn’t it be better if the Amenity Center had its own website as I mentioned above? That way a Hampton Lakes resident wouldn’t need a Country Club account to look at a calendar of events. And the Country Club member wouldn’t need a Hampton Lakes account to look at Amenity Center info. The Amenity Center should have its own calendar of events for the things that happen there and the Country Club have its own calendar of events for the golf course, Caloosa Grill and Bunker Bar. You know, “you gotta keep’em separated!” I know. I know. I keep repeating myself, but what the heck!

Also, take off the section on the Hampton Lakes website that asks about your interests and put it on the new Amenity Center website where it belongs! Then maybe people will actually get emails about the things they are actually interested in. I know they added a link to emails to change your email preferences, but I’m afraid to do that because I feel I might not get any emails! Here’s a screenshot of the interest list on the Hampton Lakes website. Have you filled it out yet? Please note, I don’t think they use it to actually do anything, but it looks nice!

There’s also a section that shows amendments made to our by-laws, but the last amendment listed was made in 2006. Didn’t we just have amendments made that extended the turnover for Hampton Lakes and the Amenity Center? Where are those? I looked for it on the ciranet website where the newer stuff is, but I could not find it.

There’s only one audit listed out there and its from 2021. Where’s the rest? I think I saw some on ciranet. Here’s an excerpt from the auditor’s introduction segment…

It pretty much says they are not doing an audit like Ben Afleck from The Accountant would do. Its more like “I’m going to add up the numbers you give me and if they add up to the total number you give me, you pass the audit!” Not that the people in control of our community would do anything nefarious, but mistakes can be made and nobody is looking for those either. So really, what good is the audit?

There’s been a lot of complaining online about our irrigation system and how a lot of people lack the proper pressure to get their grass watered. Its been a while since I looked at the breakdown of our fees, but we are actually being charged for the irrigation system.

Again, I think those numbers are old numbers because there is nothing current out there. But still, it shows you’re paying $60 to $75 a quarter to water your lawn. If your irrigation system is not working, I could see why you’d get upset. Has anybody ever thought of mapping out problem properties on our community map to see if that could help zero in on the problem? The last I heard was that the HOA, or somebody, wanted homeowners to take videos of their systems not working and to send that in to somebody. I don’t think Vania wanted them? I don’t think Vania thinks its her responsibility. So, who would look at the videos? Should we try to map it out ourselves? Here’s a map. If you have irrigation problems, reply with a comment and your address. The problem is getting all the problem houses on the same map! Any suggestions? Let your neighbors know about this. Not everyone gets my posts. Although they should! 🙂

Amenity Center Website

This would be a new website. The most important thing about it would be a calendar of events for only the events that take place at the Amenity Center and an actual working process where you can select individual areas of interest and then get emails specific to those areas of interest. And not get emails for everything under the sun and get them over and over again, week after week, year after year! How many times do I need to know that bible study is on Thursdays at 3pm? I just made that up, but you know what I mean, right? And get nothing about the country club! That would come from the country club, not the amenity center.

Of course, this is all a suggestion, but I think it would simplify things and be less confusing to existing and future residents. And it would enhance our already wonderful experience here at River Hall! If anything, feel free to bookmark the above existing links if you have not done so already!

Bye!

P.S. I forgot to mention my website! But that one’s perfect. I don’t have to change a thing! 🙂

  1. One comment, one suggestion (maybe it’s 2).
So everybody take a photo of their sprinklers NOT working? lol
Suggestion, Maybe one website that umbrellas all sections so there is one login and everything is accessible in one place.
Thanks for keeping us informed and amused.

    1. #1, when they’re “not working” they usually have water dribbling down the sidewalk. But that was a good one! 🙂 #2, We have three separate entities, so with 3 separate websites they each can do their own thing with no reason and no need to “co-operate” with each other. No stepping on each other’s toes, no screwing up their access, functionality, etc, etc. Cleaner, less tangles in the web! 🙂

  2. Harry, you are right on the money again with your ideas. Totally agree. The websites are a convoluted mess. And yes, we have irrigation problems: 4057 E. Hampton Cir. When it is our scheduled day to water there is none.
