We went to the Baker Museum in Naples and afterwards went to the USS Nemo restaurant for lunch. When we go down to Naples, more often than not, we end up eating at this restaurant because its usually great food, great service and great ambiance. Well, the ambiance was great and it was a packed house! We got there at 1:15pm and it closes at 2pm. Or at least they don’t accept any new customers, because we were there well after 2pm.
Our server seemed frazzled. When he took our drink order, my wife ordered a glass of some white wine, but the waiter brought a glass of some red wine. So he had to take it back and get the right white wine. I ordered a glass of half apple juice and half carrot juice, freshly juiced by the way and it was delicious! The bread was warm and delicious! And now our entrees come. I always order Bento Box #3 and it has always been delicious, as it was on this day. My wife ordered a salad which she thought was uninteresting. It was the Goat’s Cheese Salad with apples, walnuts and honey tarragon dressing. There wasn’t much goat’s cheese. The apples were julienned matchsticks and were mostly on the bottom, so hard to pick up with a fork. So basically, it was a big bowl of mixed greens. Great, if you’re a rabbit. Our guest ordered a poke bowl of some sorts. The poke bowl came with onion rings on top which our guest took off and placed on a side plate. If I knew she wasn’t going to eat them, I would have! They looked good. She enjoyed her poke bowl. So, all in all, a pretty good lunch. More positives than negatives. We’ll be back for sure. Here’s a link to their menu on their website. Enjoy the pics.
