Misc HOA and Community Questions

Why do people keep their garage doors open all day long? Because they love animals like alligators, snakes, lizards, mice, possums, squirrels and raccoons? Or maybe they like the insect family including spiders, wasps, bees, hornets and whatever the heck else crawls or flies around Florida!?

if DOGE and Elon have some time I’d like them to examine all our HOAs’ books. When I ask our developer people they always respond with our books are audited every year. But not by DOGE. I bet all the auditors do is add up the numbers the developer gives them. Of course they’re going to add up to the same number! When we get billed for $30,000 worth of flowers, are we really getting $30,000 worth of flowers? Did we put it out for bid? Or do we just “trust” the same vendor over and over?

I drove out the back gate today to Cemetary Road. I don’t know if I’ll be doing that on a regular basis. Some people say it’s worth it to avoid the Buckingham Rd and 80 intersection. I don’t know. Maybe only during crazy busy times.

We got an hoa newsletter that said parking on the street with your car facing the wrong way is against the law. What if it’s a police car?

We’re only suppose to water one day a week on the weekend before the sun rises. Hmmm. Good luck with that!

Don’t you like it when people let their dogs out in their fenced in backyard and the dogs constantly bark for half an hour? Several times a day. Sometimes starting at 6:30 in the morning!

Don’t you like it when people let their cats outside to torment your indoor cats sitting peacefully in the lanai? BTW, you’re not supposed to let your dog or cat outside unattended! They could get eaten!

I never know if the Hampton Lakes gates on Riverhall Parkway are going to be up or down! I went out Sunday morning and they were down and working. I came back 2 hours later and they were stuck in the upright position. What’s goes on with that? Is the timer off? Does someone have a master control over the system and opens the gates whenever they want to?

When is the high school construction on Buckingham Road going to be finished? (done)

Can’t wait to drive through the diamond interchange on Colonial! Remember bumper cars? (Done! And actually, not bad)
