Always a good dining experience at Blossom and Brie! We started going there right after the new owners took over. That was a couple of years ago and the place went from lots of open tables to you better make a reservation way in advance! Its nice to seed a business booming. We went there for Sunday brunch and I always order the Blossom Benedict. The poached eggs are always perfect. My wife had a cornmeal waffle and that was better than I expected. The cornmeal must have been ground very fine because I was expecting it to be gritty, but it wasn’t at all. Our visitors had the omelet of the day and the Huevos Rancheros. Everybody enjoyed their food.
One thing I got to say is the over emphasis on the money aspect of restaurant dining. There are some rules. If you’re a rule follower, you should have no problem. Like, if you make a reservation and don’t cancel more than 24 hours before the time, you’ll be charged $20 per person for missing your reservation. That’s mor than they would make if I showed up and ordered just an entree! So are they hoping you won’t show up? Just kidding! Of course they want you to show up! But a lot of other restaurants are doing this too. If you show up for your reservations, no big deal. When they start charging you a fee for using your credit card, that might be a bit too much. You got to work those costs into the price of the food. Don’t nickel and dime people.
Also, you now have to pay to feed the farm animals. We brought our visitors here to the farm to feed the animals after we had our meal. They used to put out food for the animals by the pens and you just scooped it up to feed them. Now you have to buy a bag of old veggies inside the restaurant if you want to feed the animals. We didn’t know this, so we didn’t get to feed the animals Oh well, that’s the way it goes. Also, I wish they would work on their herb garden. It’s full of weeds and what’s growing wouldn’t supply a restaurant for a day, and its been like that from day one. It would be nice if it at least looked nice and had some herbs growing to at least give us the illusion of a farm to table operation.
But these are minor problems. The staff is great and always smiling. Lots of fun! Go there. Just don’t forget your reservation!
