Things To Do – Babcock Ranch Food Trucks & Music

Every Friday and Saturday night Babcock Ranch has food trucks in their town center where there also happens to be a couple restaurants, an ice cream shop, public restrooms, covered tables and a ground level fountain that kids in bathing suits, dogs and sometimes parents run through! Great for cooling down on a hot summers night. Also, on Friday nights there might be some live music being performed in the outdoor band shell. I’ve seen everything from string quartets to grunge rock being performed there. If the mood and music call for it, spontaneous dancing can occur!

This Friday we enjoyed some delicious sliders from the Horse Eyed Jake’s truck. We also got a Ham and Swiss Croissant sandwich from the French Crepe truck. We devoured the sandwich before I remembered to take a pic, but believe me, it looked good and tasted even better. And those sliders were a home run too! Next time, I’ll try the ones with onions , mushrooms and swiss cheese.

Here’s some pics of the menu boards with pricing. We also stopped at an ice cream truck on the way out to get a root beer float for dessert. That hit the spot!

The food trucks open at 5pm and go to 9pm. If there’s music, it usually stats at 6pm and goes to 9pm. This time we got there a little after 5pm. Most of the food truck were ready, but some were not and some hadn’t even arrived yet. The musicians got set up and were ready to play by 6pm, but it started raining after one and a half songs! We ended up sitting under the band shell as the band packed up to leave. It only rained 20 minutes, but the wind was blowing and all their equipment got wet. They were afraid to plug it back in! Come on! Where’s the spirit!? Speaking of electricity, there are complementary chargers for your electric car to use in the town center parking lot! When we left, I came back to a fully charged car at no cost! Thank you Babcock Ranch! Don’t forget to bring chairs!. You can also bring your own food if you like and you can also bring a cooler with your favorite beverages. The Lakehouse Restaurant also runs an outdoor bar during these times, so you don’t have to bring anything! We ran into some fellow Hampton Lakers while we were there! Good times!

You can get on Babcock Ranch email list using this link. There are a lot of events that are for Babcock residents only, but the events in the Town Center are usually open to the public. Here’s the July events. we’re going back on the 21st just to get some food from the Buddha Bachi food truck which I think is the best truck around.
