Restaurant Review – The Lakehouse at Babcock Ranch

My wife and I have been to the Lakehouse numerous times, as a couple and with friends. If you have an electric car (we have a Volt) , you can charge it for free at one of the 4 or 5 charging stations in the parking lot. So charge up while your eating! The Lakehouse is open for lunch and dinner. Click here to go to their website. This restaurant is owned by the group that owns the Boathouse Tiki Bar on 31 and a bunch of other restaurants in downtown Ft Myers. So they know what they’re doing! However, early on I got hooked on their bacon jam which was delicious and savory. Now it seems a little too sweet for me, but I still have that Mac and Cheese with the Bacon Jam on top. The Deviled Eggs with Bacon Jam is good too! Drinks are crazy good! I had a taco special at lunch one time and apparently when they put the pineapple salsa on top of the tacos they didn’t drain the juice. All the soft tacos got soggy and were falling apart. There wasn’t much grouper on them either. Tasty though. I mentioned my concerns and they gave us a free dessert. Don’t complain just to get a free dessert! They have good burgers. Get the one with the poached egg on top.
