Restaurant Review – Cooper’s Hawk Ft. Myers

Went to check out the new Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant in Ft. Myers. Its located on Six Mile Cypress just south of Daniels Parkway. We met another couple there so we were a party of 4 and we ended up having lots of wine glasses on the table! We did wine flights, had more glasses of wine and joined the monthly wine club with the 2 bottles of wine option so we can get a free tasting every month. There were lots of rules and options to the wine club, so I kind of stopped listening after a while. My wife will handle that! But it sounded like an overall good deal with many ways to get your benefits. Like if you don’t do the tasting at the wine bar, you can get a free glass of wine at lunch or dinner. So most all of the rules and options were for the benefit of the customer! So we signed up!

We started out with a white wine flight of four different wines and got the Asian Pork Belly Appetizer. We were also given some pretzel bread with butter. The pork belly was cut into small chunks and not crispy. It was a good appetizer, but I prefer my pork belly in larger pieces and crispy. Again it was good, but next time I’ll try something else. There are a ton of appetizers, so it’ll be fun. And it was fun, we had a great time. I ordered the Asian Ahi Tuna Sashimi. Very good! My wife ordered Dana’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken. Excellent! The other couple ordered the Meatball Appetizer for lunch and a Turkey Burger with Fries. Thumbs up all around! My wife and I finished the meal with a slice of Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. Delish! It is pricey, however! This is not a budget type place. Our bill for two was around $100. But the quality was good. If you like drinking wine with your meal, this is the place!

  1. Thanks Harry! I went last Friday with a friend and also joined the wine club! A large menu with something for everyone. I think it’s a great addition to our Fort Myers community!
