Restaurant Review – Connors Steakhouse and Seafood

Prime Rib Sandwich

This place is located across from the Costco down on Alico Road just east of I-75 in Ft Myers. We went with two other couples for lunch. It took less then 30 minutes to get there, so traffic down I-75, and even 80 to I-75, was moving without a problem. My wife and I occasionally go to this Costco and never knew this place was there across the street from it. Its very well hidden by shrubs and trees. Anyway, its a good find! Food was high quality and delicious with the matching prices!

A 4 ounce crab cake was $17. Bacon Cheeseburger was $16 and the Prime Rib sandwich was $18. I was impressed by the Prime Rib Sandwich. I thought it would be made with thinly sliced prime rib leftover from yesterday’s prime rib, but it was a thick slice of fresh cooked prime rib! Nice! I had a side of mac and cheese with my bacon cheeseburger and that was the best mac and cheese I’ve had in Florida since we moved here 3 years ago! My wife had cole slaw with her bacon cheeseburger and that was some pretty good cole slaw too! (It was National Cheeseburger Day!) Everybody like there dishes. Each couple ordered a dessert to share, so there were two chocolate mousse cakes and my wife and I ordered the Upside Down German Chocolate Cake, which was good, but next time, I’m going with the chocolate mousse cake! That looked really good!

We all drank water, so I can’t say anything about the drinks. (that’s a first!) The next time we go will be for dinner and I’ll let you know then about how the drinks were. This place has the look and fell of a upscale steakhouse. You can get a glimpse into the kitchen and they have a lot of staff in there. Highly recommended!
