Restaurant Review – Casa Blanca Modern Mexican Tequila Bar

Happy Friday Riverhall Neighbors!

We had a pick up at RSW and happily found Casa Blanca Modern Mexican Tequila Bar when we discovered Two Meatballs In The Kitchen was only open for takeout.

I’d like to know if Harry Olson has been there to give a full review. (No I haven’t 🙂 )

Here’s just a few of my take aways.

The restaurant is one cool place. From the exterior patio to the super cool interior. Lots of unique design elements including punched metal lighting, faux greenery ceiling, sculptures, a MAGNIFICENT super colorful intarsia patterned tile flooring throughout, mixed cowhide and leather cushion seating and marbleized quartz tables just to name a few.

We arrived at around 7:45 and the place was jumping like a Mexican bean. Although the music was more Latin dance and extremely loud, we managed to have a nice dinner.

We started with house margharitas were served in a beautiful Jupiter Glass with a burnt orange garnish and were delicious!

We then moved on to appetizers. The cheese dip and tortilla chips appeared to be house made and we’re not bad even though the dip was a little bland. We ordered a large and it was plenty for four people. The chimichanga appetizer was outstanding and nicely plated.

Dinner was served promptly and hot! Two of us had fajitas; one steak, one grilled chicken. The sides were perfectly portioned for me and the steak was cooked perfectly and the flour tortilla was fine. My hubby had the beef burrito Grande which did not disappoint in size. He’s pretty fussy and said it was “just okay”. Another entree was a chicken enchilada that was a nice size portion and was excellent! All food plates on a nice off white stoneware.

I need to mention again, the music was EXTREMELY loud even for me.

When someone had a birthday, it got louder and the whole crew shouted, sang and danced with drums and lights. DID I SAY IT WAS LOUD?!!!

Waitstaff was attentive and nice but hard to hear over the music!

In any case, I didn’t get a chance to check out the other part of the restaurant but I will definitely go back.

I would say it’s an 8 outta 10. Honestly only taking away points for the LOUD music!
